I thought I'd share "Book By It's Cover" with everyone. I love handmade books and this site captures some true gems! I hope to have one of my little creations posted on this site one day.
Enjoy!

I caught a fish
once.
With a line and hook
I lured an emerald story
whose scales
I could not grasp.
I passed this glittering, gleaming mono syllable
from hand to hand
admiring,
without trying to understand.
The glass, corporeal being gasped
As it flipped, flopped and floundered
I wondered,
Should I let it go?
Before I acted
It stopped moving.
I dropped it,
It sank to the bottom
With the weight of my mispronunciation
I pierced its fin
Wore it around my neck
Everyone commented,
What a beautiful gem stone.
The sun bowed its head
And I proclaimed
I see,
I see
