Brown Paper Bag It.

It always catches me off guard how much happiness and possibilities you can cram into a brown paper bag. Today I ventured to The Paper Place in order to find origami paper and blank cards. I left with a lot more than that! I want to keep some details a secret because I plan on using them to make personalized gifts but I will divulge that I left with stamps and paper balloons!
Afterwards I headed over to a local grocery store to buy some walnuts. When I got home I painted them gold and added a copper wire hook. I love how they turned out.

I've been on the hunt for a mini Christmas tree in a pot. So far, no luck! Once I find one I plan on decorating it with an all natural theme: walnuts, paper cranes, animal ornaments etc...

Petit dejeuner avec maïs soufflé

This morning I thought I'd try the 1980's popcorn maker that I inherited from my mother. She gave it to me after I told her about some goodies that I want to make and give away as stocking stuffers.
This morning I popped about 1/2 a cup of kernels and then drizzled melted butter, salt and rosemary over top. It was delicious!

Dear December

Christmas is fast approaching which means I have to knit during all of my spare time in order to finish my projects. I am currently knitting a forest green scarf. Knit 4, purl 4. I bought the wool from Purl in New York. It is a handcrafted kettle dyed pure wool. On the skein it feels a little scratchy but softens as you knit. I can't wait to finish it so I can learn how to make mittens!
